PATTERN OVERVIEW

Highlight news and updates with a heading, short snippet of copy and an image. Several configurations of this pattern are available, see examples below.

Guidelines

• Include a content type descriptor label above each piece of content to inform the visitor to what type of content they're about to click through to. Use labels such as White paper, Case study, Video, Blog article, Podcast, Success story, Feature story, or News.
  
  
• Each piece of content links to a landing page with the full the story. 
  
  
• Configure the column control to use “none”  to remove unnecessary spacing that appears between the heading and the news content area.

Specifications

Content type label: One to four words. No more than 25 characters (including spaces).

H2 heading: 45 characters (including spaces)

H3 heading: No more than 50 characters (including spaces). Ideally the heading should fit onto two lines and if more than two lines, the body copy below should be reduced to two lines.

Body copy: No more than 115 characters (including spaces). Ideally the copy should be no more than three lines long.

Small image: 540 x 400 px

Large image: 1080 x 720 px (use with layout from Example 3 and 4)

Button: Use the button link

Type: For headings, use sentence case, no punctuation (unless necessary, such as a question mark). For body copy, use sentence case with complete and punctuated sentences.
