Content freshness process
The Content Freshness Automation Process will perpetuate content freshness and relevancy by regularly reviewing web content for update or archival on optum.com.
Authoring requirements:
- Digital standards require that a page owner is added to each page.
- Article publish date OR Article end date
If a web page has not been published in over six months, an email will be set to the assigned page owner (identified in 'page properties' in AEM) with the option of updating, deferring an update or archiving the page.
How to defer a page
- Step 1: Click page link from content freshness email to open page in AEM. Login to AEM with your unique username and password.
- Step 2: Click on Page Information in upper left corner (second icon from left with three lines and dots).
- Step 3: From drop-down, click on Open Properties
- Step 4: Click on Page Tracking Properties
- Step 5: Select your deferment
- Step 6: Click Save & Close
Article end date
Content owners can provide an article end date for content known to have relevancy longer than the current six-month notification trigger. If an article end date is not provided (a field has been added to silver platters), the current Published Date + Six Months trigger will occur. This will provide page owners the flexibility to give content a longer shelf life, when appropriate, without the need to continuously defer.
Within the Advanced tab of 'page properties' in AEM, there are fields to provide the article publish date, as well as 'article end date.
